Librarians
Tap into Technology
Librarians were among the first professionals to tap into technology
to help them in the performance of their daily routines. Now more and more libraries
across the country are expanding their services to allow the public direct access
to Internet and other information available online. The AT&T Learning Network
supports these efforts by providing Resources for Librarians,
a directory of links to information and innovative ideas for using technology
in libraries. Check this site regularly for the addition of online courses to
teach librarians how to effectively utilize the latest online research tools. |

An
Opportunity for Teens to Get Published
The AT&T Learning Network is pleased to
support The 21st Century Magazine in its effort to help students become better
writers, thinkers and learners. Written entirely by teens for teens, this national
magazine, which has been distributed in schools for the past 10 years, is making
its Web debut this fall. There is no charge for students to submit their poems,
fiction, nonfiction, essays, book and movie reviews, art and photos for publication
both online and in print. For submission guidelines, teachers guide, information
on how students can win the opportunity to interview John Glenn, George Lucas
or another celebrity, and much, much more, visit the all-new The
21st Century Magazine website. |
