tkt8763-01: Massachusetts Leads High Tech States; Mississippi Trails

Sorry this is so late. But, better late than never. What do I think
about this article? I think it is accurate for the most part. Yes, as
usual, Mississippi is at the bottom. However, I believe that that will
not be the case soon. As Leigh had mentioned in hers, we have no where to
go but up. That's a huge goal, but one I think Mississippians and
Mississippi teachers are trying to reach everyday. One thing I think that
will help us is Tech Prep. The only reason, I believe, why we are not
higher, is that we have only been doing Tech Prep as a whole a few years.
Our rank is not going to raise over night. It's going to take time for us
to build our Tech Prep programs and to encourage the adult education,
which was also mentioned in the article.

No, this article does not make me mad. One, because I am so used to
seeing Mississippi on the bottom. But also, because I am so hopeful
about the future of Mississippi and Mississippi schools. So, I say, keep
your chin up. As Les Brown said, "Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss
it, you will land among the stars." In other words, shoot for the best
YOU can do. Not what others are doing.
