I can understand your dilemma with not having the resources to conduct a
PowerPoint presentation at each small group meeting with your Orientation
Leaders. It becomes very expensive to buy or rent 20 different laptops
and 20 different projectors; it is just not fesible. But you can use
PowerPoint but not use the actual technology. You can print out the
slides on sheets of paper (maybe using different colors, etc.). Then you
can blow up the slides to poster size and use them as your flip charts.
It is very easy.
I used this idea in my class during my student teaching. I typed out
business letters and blew them up to poster size. Then, I posted them on
the walls so each student could reference them while they were learning
the correct format. There is a place in Columbus that does this -- I
don't anyone in Starkville who will blow them up to poster size except MSU
printing department and I can't remember why I didn't use them. (I think
they couldn't blow them up that large) Anyways -- if you need anymore
help -- let me know.
