Dear Dr. Van Dam,

We are all excited about having the opportunity and privilege to talk with you tonight.

Congratulations on receiving the 1999 Technology Award for Excellence at the Annual Conference for Technology Educators.  From what Dr. Anderson has told us about you, it is well deserved.  He has described you as a "TechnoEagle".  A term he saves for only the BEST in technology.

I am really interested in talking with you about some of the great things that have been taking place within the Oakland area.  Specifically, the Oakland Schools Hand-in-Hand Program, the Oakland County Government's initiative, OakNET, and your work with The Universal Service Fund.  I read that just within the past two years, Michigan organizations have received right at $65 million dollars in funding commitments from The Universal Service Fund.  WAY TO GO!!!

I also want to thank you in advance for taking the time to share your valuable knowledge with us.  We all benefit when we share, and your willingness to do so is greatly appreciated.
