tkt8763-01: behind but working

I just wanted everyone to know that I am still here - keeping up with
e-mails and working on assignments.  I spent last week in Washington D.C. at
a conference and then my husband joined me and we tried to see the sights.
I was quite impressed with the sheer massiveness of buildings as well as the
grandeur of architecture and historical significance of monuments, places,
and documents.  

There was even a sprinkling of technology use in schools in the conference.
There is apparently a considerable amount of money to be obtained through
grants for schools.  I learned about programs and funding for programs
available through the Departments of Commerce and Education as well as
private foundations.

I plan to devote the weekend to catching up with assignments and hopefully I
will add some material to my web page next week.  Thanks again to all those
who have kept us up with class notes.
