tkt8763-01: Fast Take 2.29.00 (fwd)

A couple of months ago, while flying back from San Francisco, a man who
sat beside me on the plane, shared with me his copy of a wonderful
magazine entitled, "Fast Company." This thing is terrific!!

So, I learned, after having bought a couple more issues, that they have an
electronic forum for Fast Company readers.

Since all of you are "Fast Company" individuals, I think you should check
this out. And, I think you should be on the lookout for a copy of "Fast
Company" magazine so you can see what I am talking about. It is a thick
magazine, but it's loaded with great information.

I send you the following, then, as inspiration to charge forward in your
quest for perpetual and perpetuating success.

Larry S. Anderson, Ed.D. LSA1@Ra.MsState.Edu

COMPANY OF FRIENDS: Latest News

Students in Boston University's Graduate School of
Management have organized the first school-based CoF
cell to help connect like-minded MBA students -- and to
forge relationships between those students, people in
the Boston cell, and leaders in the area's business
community. If you'd like information on organizing a
college- or university-based CoF cell, contact Heath
Row at mailto:heath@fastcompany.com

In January, FC launched the CoF Action Pack, a monthly
supplement to the magazine designed with the CoF
specifically in mind. Available online to the
co-coordinators of your local cell, the Action Pack
features a geographic directory of everyone featured in
the given issue -- so you can invite them to your next
event. The Action Pack also includes discussion ideas
and questions, as well as several other "next steps"
for the group to pursue in conjunction with the current
issue. If you'd like to see the most-recent Action
Pack, contact your local cell coordinator or get more
involved in the cell as a co-coordinator!

LIVE EVENTS: RealTime 2000

"One person is as creative as the next. That creativity
just needs to be discovered within each person."
-- Andy Stefanovich, Play (a RealTime 2000 participant)

In an economy that runs on ideas, how do you out-think,
out-innovate, and out-create the competition? And if
the half-life of even the best idea is unbelievably
short, how do you out-implement, out-gun, and out-run
the competition?

It all comes down to the way you work. And your ability
to get the best out of yourself, bring out the best in
your team, and give the very best to your customers.

RealTime will give you the tools to invent and execute
creatively in the new economy. Join us at The Disney
Institute, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, May 7-9, 2000.

and Bill Mack write about nurturing and disciplining
their baby, Aerolith Incorporated -- Harlem's first
Internet technology incubator.
