tkt8763-01: Marco Torres...Yes!

I heard from Marco Torres tonight and he has agreed to talk with us if we
can get the technical arrangements made tomorrow.  So, let's all gear up
for a stupendously exciting event.

Thanks, especially, to Mark Benno, for introducing me to Marco...and to
Jennifer Packer and Adair Caperton of Apple Computer for helping to
arrange my being able to be in a place where Mark could even introduce us!

On another note, I've just gotten all the dishes washed and am ready to go
to bed (it's 2:20 AM) so I can get up early tomorrow morning and head out
for our final day.  Tonight was such a super event: the final "farewell"
concert of the Mark Applebaum Jazz Trio, right here in our home.  I think
we had 50 people attending for a casual stand-up dinner; Kathy had
prepared a table full of food and many munchies all around.  I'm so proud
of her.  

I think I told you that my son, Chad, is the wonderful drummer for this
group...and unless they take their tour of the Czech Republic, this will
be their last time to play together, since Dr. Applebaum left Miss. State
and has moved to Stanford University in California.

What a phenomenally fun evening, filled with some of the world's greatest
jazz, plenty of laughter, and much great food.

So, tomorrow, I'll bring out some of the small sausage snacks that were in
the "extra" batch.  Hopefully, you'll enjoy.
