Katrina,
I am responding to your recent email concerning computer integration. I am
a secondary teacher, however, I am convinced that using centers and allowing
the students to work as teams is the most successful means of utilizing a
single classroom computer.
I noticed that a couple of other classmates has already expounded on this
idea, so allow me to add something to their suggestions. Allowing students
to share the projects with the class is another opportunity have students
benefit from this computer. Also, don't overlook the opporunity to use the
computer as a method of presentation in your classroom. Once again,
although students are not actually using it, they are being exposed to the
use of it.
I hope these suggestions are helpful. If I can be of anymore assistance,
please let me know.
Melanie Trull
