MSU announces 2017 student orientation leaders

Twenty-three top Mississippi State students are leaders of the university’s 2017-18 orientation programs. Working with the Office of Admissions and Scholarships, MSU Orientation Leaders provide assistance and share their knowledge of the 138-year-old land-grant institution with incoming freshmen and transfer students—and their parents—during each school year’s registration and information sessions.

Much-honored poet Rita Dove is newest MSU writer-in-residence

A former U.S. poet laureate who also won a Pulitzer Prize and other major accolades will be at Mississippi State next week. Rita Dove will be on campus Monday-Friday [Feb. 27-March 3] to lead the writer-in-residence program of the College of Arts and Sciences’ Institute for the Humanities.
