    The fall General Faculty meeting at Mississippi State on Tuesday [Aug. 23] will be available for viewing online beginning at 2 p.m. at http://mymedia.msstate.edu/viewer.php?live=faculty. The program will include reports on topics of general interest to the university community, followed by a time for questions and discussion. The meeting will be held in Lee Hall's Bettersworth Auditorium.

  • Vince Gill kicks off MSU Riley Center 10th-anniversary season
    Vince Gill, one of the most popular singers in country music and one of the nicest guys in show business, will kick off the MSU Riley Center’s 10th-anniversary season with a 7:30 p.m. concert on Sept. 8. The show will launch the 2016-17 Fall/Winter Performing Arts Series, which runs into March 2017.

    The Montgomery Leadership Program (MLP) at Mississippi State is accepting applications, including references, until Sept. 20 for the next class of student leaders beginning in spring 2017.   • MDOT to install flashing yellow arrow signal at Highway 12-Russell St. intersection
    The Mississippi Department of Transportation will implement a new traffic signal to provide a safer and more efficient left-turn for motorists in Oktibbeha County. The new flashing yellow arrow left-turn signals will begin replacing the circular green signal for permitted left turns at selected intersections. Motorists can expect to see the FYA signal in Starkville on Highway 12 at its intersection with Russell St. as part of an intersection improvement project.
