    A campus-wide road striping project is underway at Mississippi State University. The project started Monday [June 19] and will continue through September, according to MSU Campus Services. Drivers are encouraged to use caution while these improvements to campus roads are taking place.

  • Mississippi, Alabama research administrators coming to campus in July
    The Society of Research Administrators International Alabama-Mississippi Chapter will hold its annual meeting at Mississippi State University this summer. With a theme of "Research United," the newly expanded chapter will meet in Colvard Student Union on the Starkville campus on July 21, and registration is now open.

  • National Academies announce Science Breakthroughs 2030: A Strategy for Food and Agricultural Research
    The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are pleased to announce Science Breakthroughs 2030: A Strategy for Food and Agricultural Research, a new study to identify ambitious scientific opportunities in food and agriculture made possible by incorporating knowledge and tools from across the science and engineering spectrum. Major funding for the study has been provided by the SoAR Foundation and the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research. The FFAR Board of Directors is chaired by Mississippi State University President Mark E. Keenum.

  • Mississippi State graduation list, deans’ and president’s lists now posted
    The Mississippi State University deans’ and president’s lists are now available online at www.msstate.edu/students/lists. The university publishes deans' and president's lists for each spring and fall semester for the convenience of the media, friends and family members. Users can select the list, term and year they would like to view. Data can be further filtered by state of residence and home county. The list also may be sorted by city by clicking on the city/state heading.

  • Traveling abroad this summer? Pay attention to health advisories
    The Office of Research Security at Mississippi State reminds students, faculty and staff traveling abroad this summer to be aware of an increase in measles reports. It is important for anyone traveling to these parts of the world to be aware of any outbreaks and that they take appropriate precautions.   • MSU Dining Services offers coupon bonus for meal plan sign-ups
    Students signing up for a Fall 2017/Spring 2018 campus meal plan at www.speedsurvey.net/msstatevoluntarysignup.aspx during the month of June will receive an added bonus from MSU Dining Services: a coupon booklet with 16 coupons to four different campus dining locations. It's an $80 value you may spend whenever you want.

  • MSUPD dispatchers temporarily re-located to Hathorn Hall
    In anticipation of upcoming renovations to the Williams Building, the Mississippi State University Police Department’s Communication Division has been re-located to Hathorn Hall. The renovations, which include updates to the dispatch center, a rec room and an interview room, will not impact any other MSUPD units. The department’s headquarters will remain open 24 hours a day.

  • International Institute launches Global Discovery seed grant program
    The International Institute at Mississippi State has launched a new Global Discovery seed grant program. Its purpose is to catalyze international activities with high potential to leverage external funding and promote high impact, scalable, scholarly and creative activities or capacity building, while creating international education opportunities for students. Co-funded by the Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine and the Office of Research and Economic Development, the Global Discovery Seed Grant is administered through the International Institute.

  • Mississippi State releases annual ‘Drinking Water Quality Report’
    Mississippi State is pleased to announce that the university’s water system has met all of the requirements of the Mississippi State Department of Health. The water quality report, also referred to as the Consumer Confidence Report, must be provided to customers annually. The annual testing is administered by MSDH.
