    The MSU Christian Faculty-Staff Forum will host "Carols in the Chapel" in the Chapel of Memories on Thursday [Dec. 15] at 2 p.m. The special holiday event features the singing of traditional carols and a reading of the Christmas story. All are invited and welcome.

  • IHL Board of Trustees to meet Dec. 15
    The Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday [Dec. 15], beginning at 9 a.m. Members of the Board may participate in the meeting via teleconference. Members of the public and media may attend the meeting in the IHL Board Room, located in the Universities Center, 3825 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, Miss. An executive session may be held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

  • Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation to meet Monday
    The Mississippi Commission on College Accreditation (MCCA) will meet on Monday [Dec. 12] at 3 p.m. in Jackson. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the fee schedule to participate in MS-SARA (Mississippi-State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements).

  • ITS to begin removal of Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Summer 2015 info from myCourses
    All course sections for semesters prior to Fall 2015 — Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Summer 2015 — will be removed from Mississippi State's myCourses system beginning on Dec. 14. If instructors need any information — including student assessments, discussion posts, etc. — from any of these sections, they must take action to save the needed materials before Dec. 14.

  • Mississippi State accepting nominations for honorary doctoral degrees
    Nominations for honorary doctoral degrees to be awarded by Mississippi State at the spring commencement ceremony are being accepted until Jan. 9, 2017. Nominations and supporting materials should be sent to the Honorary Degree Committee in care of the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President.

  • Fulbright-Hays 2017 summer seminar in Jordan, Israel now taking applications
    Mississippi State faculty from the Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures, with support from the College of Arts and Sciences and the International Institute, have been awarded a Fulbright-Hays Group Travel Grant. All MSU faculty, graduate students, and sophomores, juniors and seniors are eligible to apply. Applications are due Jan. 15, 2017.

  • Service-learning class designation applications available online
    The Center for Community-Engaged Learning (formerly Center for the Advancement of Service-Learning Excellence) has placed S-designation applications online. The applications are for faculty interested in having their course designated as a service-learning class.
