STARKVILLE, Miss.—The Mississippi State University Department of Music’s Community Music School outreach program is offering evening classes for adults 18 years and older who are interested in learning the basics of piano playing.

Taking place each Tuesday from Feb. 21-May 2, sessions will be held at 6 p.m. in the Building C piano lab at the music department complex on Morrill Road.

Sarah E. Jenkins, an MSU senior music/piano major from Brandon, will teach the sessions under the supervision of Jackie Edwards-Henry, MSU professor of piano and pedagogy and coordinator of group piano.

Only 10 spaces are available on a first-come, first-reserved basis, so early registration is encouraged. Cost for the program is $165, which includes a method book. Participants may have little or no prior experience with piano.
