MSU to host fourth annual Magnolia Finance Conference

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University’s Institute for Market Studies and the Department of Finance and Economics will host the fourth annual Magnolia Finance Conference on April 28 at The Mill at MSU Conference Center.

The conference brings scholars from around the country to present academic research on topics including corporate governance, investments and executive compensation. The goal of the conference is to promote academic research and share southern hospitality with campus guests.

The day-long event will include presentations from leading business and economics researchers from Drexel University, New York University, Georgia State University, and the universities of Iowa, Pittsburgh, and Washington.

On April 27, conference participants are invited to attend a reception at 6 p.m. at Shorty’s in The Mill. The reception will feature live music from Don Chance, a professor of finance at Louisiana State University.
