July 11, 2019
9:30 am to 1:30 pm

About this event

Mississippi State's Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Health Promotion is conducting sensory panels on chicken wings and sauces. The panels will be open from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. or until a 100-panelist limit is reached. The heat intensity of the sauces is as follows: Tuesday - mild/non-spicy; Wednesday - medium spicy/very hot; Thursday - non-spicy/super hot. Participants should consider their heat tolerance prior to sign up. Three wing samples will be available per test each day, and free soft drinks and/or snacks will be available to participants after completion of the taste panels. Those interested are welcome to participate on all three days. The panels will be held in the James Garrison Sensory Evaluation Laboratory located behind the Herzer building on the side of the building closest to Davis Wade Stadium. Participants are encouraged to sign up for time slots on each day by clicking the link below, but are welcome to come by at any time during the panels.
