Announcements

Mississippi State University's Faculty and Professional Women's Association invites all qualified women to become members of the only campus-wide organization dedicated to promoting the professional growth of women, including promoting and mentoring women students. Lunchtime meetings are held monthly, usually during the second week of the month.

Membership dues are $10.00 per year. We encourage you to join this organization to learn more about women on campus, to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, and to support and encourage women at MSU.

Scholarship Nominations are due April 13th, 2005.

What is FPWA?

The Faculty and Professional Women's Association of MSU is a campus organization dedicated to:

  • promoting the professional growth and development of women
  • addressing issues of concern to the female sector of the academic community through monthly programs
  • sponsoring one undergraduate and one graduate scholarship each year.
Membership:

All current and retired University-related personnel in executive, administrative, managerial, faculty, and professional non-faculty positions (EEOC occupation categories I, II, and III) are eligible for membership.

Scholarships:

Each year FPWA awards two scholarships to deserving undergraduate and graduate women. These scholarships are funded by donations from the membership. If you have not already done so, please send your donation to Joan Mylroie. Consider making a donation in honor or in memory of someone also. See the Scholarship Donations Page for a list of donations that have been made in that way.
