Each of the seven Mississippi Community/Junior Colleges has agreed to offer full academic scholarships (tuition, room, and board) to the first and second place overall winners of the Mississippi Junior Academy of Sciences (MJAS) paper competition, if these winners attend their institution. This offering should provide even more incentive for our young scientists to participate in this fine program. Presently, the Academy provides the expenses for these two winners and their teachers to attend our MAS annual meeting. In addition, all expenses are covered for the first place winner to attend and compete at the national meeting.
