Welcome to the website of Association of Chinese Students and Scholars (ACSS)! We are from China!
ACSS is the largest international student organization in Mississippi State University(MSU), with more than 300 members from Mainland China. We are a voluntary organization formed to assist incoming and current Chinese scholars and students in MSU.

We are glad to introduce China and Chinese culture to our friends all over the world.

  • As the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars (ACSS) will hold a moon party this Friday (Sep.12th) at First United Methodist Church (200 W Lampkin St, Starkville). You and your friends are invited to join us for wonderful shows and free food (mooncakes, cookies, chips and drinks). This program will start at 6:00pm. In the mean time, there will be a Sunflower Art Class Exhibition - We Remember the Sun, exhibiting recent works of the 28 students. [September 11, 2008]

  • The new 2007-2008 ACSS committee will try our best to serve the Starkville Chinese community in the coming academic year. Dear friends, please continue supporting us. [October 13, 2007]

  • As always, this year our Mid-Autumn Party will be on Friday 6:30pm 09/28/2007. Please come to celebrate our traditional Chinese festival together. It's toll free with moon-cake and drinks and please invite your foreign friends.
    Time:
    6:30pm 09/28/2007 (this Friday) to serve moon-cake, 7pm to perform.
    Place:
    First United Methodist Church (Next to Starkville Electronic Department)

    Food:
    Moon-cake, snack, fruit and drink
    Charge:
    Free, we will also run some lottery during and at the end of the party. Come to win your big prize!
    Performance:
    This year we will have much more dances (Modern, Salsa ...) as well as great songs. [September 20, 2007]

  • There will be a Welcome Party for international students Thursday, August 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Baptist Student Union (East Lee Boulevard across from the Campus Book Mart).   • This coming Sunday (July 17, 2005) we will celebrate the birthday of our Chinese church, starting at 10:45 am at the chapel of First Baptist Church. You are welcome to come. Also this Friday there will be a mission team coming from CA. We will have pot luck together at BSU at 6:30pm. [July 13, 2005]
