The organization of Alpha Omega Psi  was founded at Mississippi State University in the Spring of 1997. It is a group of men and women who have committed their lives to God by spreading the Word of God in their homes, community, and college campus. This is the only organization of its kind on the campus of Mississippi State University. The organization was initially operated by five members. But, by the Grace of God , the Lord has blessed us with 40 + members and we are still growing.

                    Alpha Omega Psi is a symbolic name. "Alpha" is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and the "Omega" is the last letter of the Greek alphabet. Together they are symbolic to Jesus Christ as said of Himself in Revelation 1:8 in that "I am Alpha and omega, the beginning and the ending," saith the Lord, "which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." The "Psi" which stands outside of Alpha and Omega represents the fact that if we are outside of Christ, then we are Nothing.
 

THE VISION
                          This organization of Christian brothers and sisters intends to win the entire college campus of Mississippi State University and other campuses around the world. There is a plan to challenge every individual to obtain and maintain a close walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our vision to bring men and women from all ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds to assemble together to praise and worship the name of Jesus. This will be carried out by first meeting the needs of the whole man and then by ministering to their spiritual needs through the Word of God.
 

THE PURPOSE
                             Alpha Omega Psi is an organization of men and women who have committed their lives to God by spreading the Word of God in their homes, community, and college campuses. It is a fellowship of men and women who desire to grow spiritually, physically, and socially. This ministry intends to minister to the entire or whole man. The organization will carry out this ministry through evangelism, fellowship, and by preaching and teaching the Word of God. This ministry intends to meet all people. The principles that are enforced in this organization are not man made but follows the scriptures in the bible.
