Catholic Devotionals >>>
    >>> Monday Night is Catholic Devotional Night.  Liturgy of the Hours, the Rosary, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet are prayed.  Each prayer is said every third week.  These prayers take less than 30 minutes to pray.  The Catholic Devotional group meets at 8:00 PM every Monday night in the Mary Room in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Come each week to participate in a different prayer.  The prayers are led by students of the CSA.

>Liturgy of the Hours
is the official prayer of the Catholic Church, prayed by priests many times during the day, and is prayed daily by Catholics across the globe.  It consists of several psalms, readings and meditation.  The prayer usually lasts less than 20 minutes.

>The rosary is a certain form of prayer wherein we say five decades or tens of Hail Marys with an Our Father between each ten, while at each of these five decades we recall successively in pious meditation one of the mysteries of our Redemption.  The prayer lasts less than 30 minutes.

>The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a rosary-based prayer with the same set of rosary beads used for reciting the Holy Rosary.  The chaplet's prayers for mercy are threefold:  to obtain mercy, to trust in Christ's mercy, and to show mercy to others.  The Divine Mercy Chaplet has prayers similiar to the Rosary.

There will be no Catholic Devotional night on Labor Day, September 1st, 2008.
