| The adoption fee for an unaltered animal is $60.00 which includes the price of the first set of shots/deworming and the spay/neuter. Spay/neuter of all shelter animals is mandatory. The adoption fee for neutered animals is $30.00 and includes, at the minimum, the first set of shots/deworming. Animals continue to receive regular vaccinations while at the shelter. Animals are bathed (weather permitting). They are treated for fleas as needed. Mange and other infections are treated with the appropriate medications. Animals shown on these pages may no longer be available for adoption. We try to maintain a current list, but there are always more animals for adoption than shown here. Please call or visit the shelter to find out what animals are available. Go to www.dogsindanger.com for an updated list of dogs who may be euthanized within the month. If you live in town and want to report stray animals for pick-up, please call Starkville Animal Control at 323-4134. If you live in the County, call the Sheriff's Office at 323-2421. If you would like to join the Oktibbeha County Humane Society, please call 338-9093 or send your tax deductible donation to OCHS, PO Box 297, Starkville, MS 39760 or use our PayPal link located on "You Can Help" page.
