Jabberwock Review

Jabberwock Review is pleased to announce the publication of our Winter 2010 issue, featuring work by Grace Bauer, Christopher Coake, Meredith Davies Hadaway, Janet Jennings, Lania Knight, Maggie Maurer, Margaret Menges, Linda Lancione Moyer, Mary Ruefle, and Mark Sanders.

Issue 30.2 Winter 2010 Jabberwock Review is a literary journal published semi-annually by students and faculty of Mississippi State University. The journal consists of art, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction from around the world. Funding is provided by the Office of the Provost, the College of Arts & Sciences, the University Honors Program, the Department of English, fundraisers, and subscriptions.

  • Submissions will be accepted only from August 15 to October 20 and January 15 to March 15. Submissions received at other times will be returned unopened.
  • Submissions should include a cover letter containing the author's name, address, phone number, email address, and a brief biographical statement.
  • Please remember to include a stamped, self-addressed envelope (SASE) with your submissions.
  • Please submit no more than 1 story or no more than 5 poems at a time.
  • Hard-copy submissions only. Jabberwock Review does not accept emailed submissions.
  • Manuscripts should be typed on one side only of 8 ½ x 11 white paper.
  • The author's name and address(es) should appear on the first page of the manuscript, with each poem, or on the back of each piece of artwork.
  • Poems of multiple pages should indicate whether or not stanza breaks accompany page breaks.
  • Art will be published in black and white but may be submitted in color.
  • Simultaneous submissions should be noted as such, and Jabberwock Review should be notified immediately in the event that the work is accepted elsewhere.
  • Please do not send another submission until you have received a response on the first. Additional manuscripts will be returned unread.
  • We will try to respond in three months. If you have not heard from us in five months, feel free to contact us about the status of your submission.
  • Rights revert to the author upon publication, but please acknowledge Jabberwock Review in any future publications.
  • Jabberwock Review welcomes all forms and styles of writing, from traditional to experimental.
