Chapter Events
Here at Epsilon Chi, we have events that occur every year. The following is a list and description of the more notable ones.
Dawg Daze
This is a university event that occurs the week before the start of school. Students begin moving in, and Lambda Chi begins to get to business. During this week
we usually hang out at the house, go see a movie or two, and go bowling since we haven't seen many of our members since the spring. You will usually see a game
of volleyball going on if you visit the house this week.
Watermelon Fest
For more information of Lambda Chi's philanthropic event known as Watermelon Fest, go to the Philanthropy page.
Football Games
This is some of the most fun we have during the fall. We set up two or three tents and hit the junction for tailgating on game days. A brother will be grilling chicken, pork,
burgers, etc... enough to feed everyone! We all sit back and relax, stuffing our faces before the game. We all sit together at the game (we always get good seats) and, by
the end, usually have lost our voices. After the game we head back to the house. Some nights we hire a band to play in our courtyard, and others we just set up speakers and
have a blast.
Halloween Date Party
Everybody's in costume, bring a date! We sometimes have this at the house. It's basically a dance/party celebrated around or on Halloween.
Winter Semi-formal
This happens a week or so before Christmas break. At this date party, we rent out a facility and hire a band to play for us.
Valentine's Day Semi-formal
Alot like the winter semi, the valentine's day semi is a date party done at the house where each member brings his sweetheart and we dance all night.
Founder's Day
Lambda Chi celebrates its founding on March 28th. Every year, our chapter brings Alumni from all over the country together. We have a golf tournament
and a meal afterwards. Founder's Day 2009 marks the 100 year aniversary of the fraternity.
Spring Party
This is Lambda Chi's largest event of the year. Months of planning and weeks of preparation go into this two day party. We have it at the house, which is transformed
into an island. Usually a couple bands are hired, and everyone has fun throughout the entirety of the event.
All The Time
There are always people hanging out at the house, and there is always something to do, even when we don't plan a large-scale paperwork event.
