Text Box: I want to take a moment to say that I hope each of you and your families had a wonderful holiday season. 2008 should prove to be a year of challenge and considerable activity for Epsilon Chi. I would like to encourage all of you to become involved with the chapter and help us meet the challenges that we have ahead of us.
The Sprinkler Project is moving forward. Housing Corps (HC) has selected Fireline from Tupelo, MS to perform the installation of the sprinkler system. The final quote received from Fireline was $86,000. Considering that there could be some other expenses involved, I am confident that we should be able to complete the project for less than $100,000. The project is now moving into the design phase. As of January 13, 2008, we have received $7,200 in contributions from 34 different brothers. I have received phone calls, letters and emails from quite a few of you offering words of encouragement and pledging to contribute to the project. I am sincerely grateful to those of you who have contributed and contacted me. If you have not contributed or if you are planning to contribute more to this project, I encourage you to do this now. We have made a good start but still need to acquire as much up front capital as possible. We are now in the initial stages of working with our lender for financing the balance of the project. No details are available as yet.
As I mentioned to you in my previous report, we are starting to make some changes in how we conduct our business and support our chapter. As the financial well being of
