Pledging MSU Block and Bridle

Any undergraduate student who has an interest in livestock may go through the MSU Block and Bridle Pledge process.  Pledging MSU Block and Bridle is one of the most memorable college experiences you can have.  The friends you meet and the places you'll go are second to none.  Come join us in the fall and see for yourself!

Mississippi State Block and Bridle Pledge Requirements:

  • Each pledge shall pay pledge dues of $15.00 at the time of pledging.

  • Each pledge is obligated to attend all meetings and functions.

  • Each pledge shall show and fit at least one animal in the Little International Livestock Show

  • Each pledge is required to work a minimum of 15 hours for the club.

  • Each pledge will be provided with a large wooden "B" during Initiation Week and have all officers, 15 members, 5 Block and Bridle Alumni, and 5 MSU ADS faculty sign it.

  • Each pledge must take the Pledge Test that covers the history, constitution, present and past club activities, and parliamentary procedures and score at least 75% on it.
