Mevan Sirwardane (2005) has started graduate studies at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He also received 2006 Best Poster Runner Up at the 24th Annual Houston Conference on Biomedical Engineering Research for his poster "Surface Science Studies of Chitosan and its Potential Use as a Biomedical Implant Coating".

Congratulations, ladies! 2005 REU Participants Danyelle Coleman, Julia Hasty and Marquita Jacobs received travel awards to present research results from their projects at the 2006 American Chemical Society National Conference (March 26 - 30, Atlanta, GA).

LeKeith Terrell (2005) presnted a poster during the American Institute of Chemical Engineers National Conference (November 2005, Cincinnati, OH).
Dr. Thomas ran into Eleenaw Jefferson at the Southeast/Southwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society in November, 2005. Eleenaw was participating in the meeting with the Christian Brothers University Student Affiliates Chapter. Also at that meeting, results were included from Julia Hasty's research in a poster presented by Nursen Binbuga.
