Sophomore Jan Blaine initiates inaugural Media & PR in Sports Night for MSU Making a few phone calls to regional experts took what was originally just an idea and turned it into a successful reality. Sophomore Jan Blaine initated the first Media & PR in Sports Night at MSU. The Starkville native, assisted by fellow sophomore Christina Hillard, hosted representatives from the MSU Athletic Media Relations Department, the Clarion-Ledger Newspaper, WTVA Television in Tupelo, Southeastern Drive Time Radio Show, Maroon & White Magazine, and Dawgs' Bite magazine. Students were able to ask career questions and seek advice from the experts in an informal setting in McCool Hall. The inaugural event drew a capacity crowd and left students anticipating when Media Night II will be held. Kudos to Jan and Christina for their hard work and many thanks to our guest panelists for donating their time and expertise.
