What are the events and what times are they?
Friday, October 16, 2009:
- Prayer Service at the Chapel of Memories from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
- Reception in the Foster Ballroom of the Colvard Student Union from 9-11 a.m.
- Investiture Ceremony begins with Processional across the Drill Field at 12 noon.
Investiture Ceremony will be in the Bettersworth Auditorium, Lee Hall, with overflow seating at the Foster Ballroom in the Colvard Student Union and the Hunter Henry Center Ballroom.
Do you have blocks of rooms at local hotels and is there a booking name?
Yes. Use Group Name "MSU Presidential Investiture" to book rooms.

When will room blocks at hotels be released?
All reservations must be made by Monday, September 14, 2009.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Are all events open to the public?
Yes.
Where will we be able to park?
There will be signs on campus directing you to the reserved parking lots.
How often will the shuttles run between the parking lots and the event venues?
Every 10-15 minutes.
Do I need to register at the Union between 7-11?
Only if you are an official delegate or special guest.
Am I an official delegate, special guest, or invited guest?
Official delegates will march in the academic procession across the Drill Field and consist of faculty from MSU and other universities. Special guests consist of the platform party who will also march in the academic procession.
Invited guests refer to any other people wishing to attend the event.
Where exactly will delegates need to robe for the processional?
Robing of persons in the academic procession will begin at 10:30 a.m. on the lawn of McCool Hall.
Is there special seating for different groups?
Yes. Contact the President's Office at 662.325.3221 for further information.
Will there be signs directing us on campus to parking, venues, etc.?
Yes.
What are traveling directions to MSU?
If traveling on Highway 182 from the west, turn right onto Mississippi Boulevard (MSU North Entrance Road). Go straight through the next two stop signs and turn right at the third for parking. Motorists traveling from the east on Highway 182 should turn left on Lee Boulevard at the Mississippi Highway Patrol station. Go straight through a traffic light and look for parking, as the parking around Lee Hall is gated.
