The Agricultural Information Science and Education (AISE) degrees provide students with an understanding of the science of assisting others to learn how to access, analyze, apply, and amend information to solve problems of agriculture. AISE graduates may become involved in a variety of occupations in ag business, industry, education, production, extension, public relations, and others.
The Agricultural and Extension Education graduate degrees provide an individual with three options. The teaching option prepares individuals to be teachers of agricultural education in high schools and community colleges, with the necessary courses for certification by the Mississippi Department of Education. The leadership option prepares individuals for employment in other occupations in extension work, agricultural industry, government service, and agricommunication. The research option is designed to meet the needs of those desiring leadership positions in agriculture with an emphasis placed on developing the individual’s research and program inquiry skills.
