Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant Program (MESG)

This program is open to any person meeting the legal residency requirements and academic requirements below. This program is open to students in any major, not just students enrolled in teacher education programs. Program pays up to $2,500 per regular academic year not to exceed tuition and mandatory fees.

• Current legal resident of Mississippi for no less than 1 year immediately preceding the award
• Student must apply as a "first-time-in-college" student or be a renewal applicant.
• Student must be recognized as a semifinalist or finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation or the National Achievement Scholarship Program and have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale OR have a minimum score of 29 on the ACT or 1280 on the SAT and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
