Janak, previously assistant general manager for the division, will be responsible for new business initiatives and strategic planning, and will oversee all of the division's business activities.
He joined TRW in 1968, and has held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he managed a program to integrate automated data processing systems for the Internal Revenue Service's Tax Systems Modernization program.
Janak has directed large-scale projects for the Federal Aviation Administration and for the intelligence community.
Prior to joining TRW, he worked for Planning Research Corp., Teledyne Brown Engineering, and Chrysler Corp.
In 1991, Janak was named a Distinguished Engineering Fellow at Mississippi State.
TRW Government Information Services Division, a unit of TRW Systems Integration Group, has nearly 700 employees and provides engineering services, technical assistance, and data processing services to the federal government and other selected customers.
