

A Mississippi State professor has received one of the top national awards presented by the American Psychological Association.
Christopher Skinner won the Lightner Witmer Award, Division 16, presented for the most outstanding research contributions in the field of school psychology up to seven years after receiving a doctorate.
Skinner is a professor in the Counselor Education and Educational Psychology Department.
The Lightner Witmer Award is APA's second highest honor.
Skinner recently completed his second year at Mississippi State. He received his doctorate in school psychology from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa.
