A team of MSU students took top honors in competition at a mathematics organization meeting last spring.
The math team won first place for the fourth year in a row at the Louisiana-Mississippi Section of the Mathematical Association of America meeting in Biloxi. It was the fifth year for the undergraduate competition, with 24 teams competing from 16 schools.
Seth F. Oppenheimer of the Mathematics and Statistics Department coached the team.
