1995 Grisham awards announced at faculty convocation

Linda K. Seckinger, left, Richard M. Kaminski, and Lynn L. Reinschmiedt, far right, are winners of 1995 John Grisham Faculty Excellence Awards at Mississippi State. Their selection was announced during fall faculty convocation, which was led this year by Mary A. Jasper, second from right, associate professor of engineering graphics. Seckinger is a professor of art; Kaminski, professor of wildlife and fisheries; and Reinschmiedt, professor of agricultural economics. Accompanied by $2,000 checks, the awards are made possible by and named for the 1977 Mississippi State graduate who has become the nation's best-selling author. Larry L. Branch, left, and Nancy D. Hargrove are the university's new John Grisham Master Teachers. The selection of the assistant professor of engineering graphics and the professor of English, respectively, was announced by President Donald Zacharias, center, at convocation. The awards include $3,000 a year for two years. Master teachers serve as role models and mentors for their colleagues during the 48-month period.
