

Association names ten as Alumni Fellows
Ten leaders in research, industry, private business, and education from Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jacksonville, Fla., have been named Mississippi State University's 1996 Alumni Fellows.
Coordinated by the Mississippi State University Alumni Association, the Alumni Fellows Program brings former students who have distinguished themselves in their careers back to campus to share their insights and experiences with current students and faculty members. Fellows are selected annually by their college or school and carries the title permanently.
This year's honorees, who visited campus Oct. 3-5, include:
- Dr. Susan Brown-Skrobot of Jacksonville, Fla., manager of biological research for Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Products, College of Arts and Sciences. Brown-Skrobot received three microbiology degrees from Mississippi State, a bachelor's degree in 1978, a master's degree in 1980, and a doctorate in 1983.
- David E. Collins, AIA, and Thomas H. Reisenbichler, AIA, of Dallas, Texas, partners in Collins/Reisenbichler Architects, School of Architecture. Both received bachelor's degrees in architecture in 1982.
- Steven A. Corbitt of Jackson, executive vice president of the Mississippi Forestry Association, College of Forest Resources. Corbitt received a bachelor's degree in forestry in 1976.
- W. John Denson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, president of Lockheed Idaho Technologies Company and director of Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, College of Engineering. Denson received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1960.
- Julius P. Gwin of Atlanta, Ga., vice president for corporate planning, Delta Air Lines, College of Business and Industry. Gwin received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1960.
- Kenneth Hood of Gunnison, president of Hood Equipment Company and of Hood Gin Company, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Hood received a bachelor's degree in agriculture in 1962.
- Dr. Karen T. Rogers and Dr. Lowell N. Rogers of Hattiesburg, owners of Rogers Veterinary Hospital, College of Veterinary Medicine. Karen Rogers received a bachelor's degree in animal science in 1978 and a doctor of veterinary medicine in 1983, and Lowell Rogers received a bachelor's degree in animal science in 1975 and a doctor of veterinary medicine in 1981.
- Dr. Everett L. Tessmer of Wausau, Wis., president, rehabilitation/vocational counselor, and consultant for Northwoods Employment and Rehabilitation Services, Inc., College of Education. Tessmer received his doctorate in rehabilitation counseling/educational psychology in 1994.
