Goetze is new men's golf coach

Nicky Goetze is the new head men's golf coach at Mississippi State.

He came to the university from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he served for one year as head men's golf coach. Goetze spent two seasons as the assistant men's golf coach at Florida before taking the UTEP position.

Goetze has played professionally on the Canadian Tour, the Asian Circuit, and has PGA Tour experience. He was champion of the BC Tel Pacific Open on the Canadian Tour in 1995.

In addition to earning all-America status for three years at Clemson, Goetze was a three-time all-Atlantic Coast Conference performer and his team's most valuable player from 1991-93.
