Make gift, will travel

If you want to save money on your next airline flight, then listen carefully to the Mississippi State students when they make calls in the coming weeks seeking support for the university's Annual Giving Program.

Mississippi State supporters who make first-time gifts of $50 or more, or those who increase their support by $100 or more over the previous year, will receive travel coupons good for $200 off of flights on major U.S. airlines.

"We are very pleased with the response to this program from our alumni and friends," said John Correro, executive director of the Alumni Association. "In just a few weeks, we've already distributed more than half of the coupons we committed to.

"We are continually looking for incentives for our generous alumni, and this particular program has been very successful at other universities across the nation."

The Annual Giving Program at Mississippi State annually provides more than $1 million in support of college, school, and university priorities.

"Annual gifts are an important source of operational support for university programs at Mississippi State, including scholarships, equipment, and faculty and staff development," explained Correro. "It also allows your Alumni Association to provide programs and services to network alumni and friends with each other and with their alma mater."
