Scott Field to expand
MSU football coach Jackie Sherrill, left, Davis Wade, center, and athletic director Larry Templeton look over a model of Scott Field after a $21 million expansion. Due to a major contribution by Wade, MSU will be able to start the project in January 2000. To honor Wade's generosity, Templeton has recommended the complex be called Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. The construction that will expand the stadium to 52,000 seats should be completed by the beginning of the 2001 season. Fifty skyboxes and 2,000 club-level seats above the existing east grandstands are being sold as part of the project.
