Mississippi State's new Joe Frank Sanderson Center is opening its membership to all active university alumni.
Originally available only to faculty, staff, and students, facilities and services of the 150,000-square-foot center that opened last year may now by used by MSU graduates with a current alumni association identification card. The cards must be presented for admittance.
The Office of Recreational Sports began selling the annual memberships Oct. 1. Director Laura Walling said alumni are eligible to participate in all activities except intramural sports. Available programs include aerobics, racquetball, swimming, strength training, cardiovascular training, jogging, basketball, volleyball, and rock climbing.
Annual alumni memberships are $450 for the first person and $400 for each additional member. A special one-month trial membership is available for $20.
"Alumni also may wish to participate in our weekend family swim program," said Walling. "On Saturday and Sunday afternoons, members can bring non-member children to the pool between the hours of 2 and 6."
