Alumni Association offers career assistance

Partnering with the MSU Career Center, the Alumni Association now offers students and alumni state-of-the-art opportunities for customized career development and assistance with job searches.

CareerConnections is a new, easy to use, fully web-based career system allowing 24-hour access to students, alumni, and employers.

CareerConnections utilizes Microsoft SQL and is fully integrated with Microsoft Word an Access. This makes it easier for students and alumni to load their Microsoft Word documents and for the Career Center to manage students, alumni, and employer data.

From the residence hall, home, or work, students and alumni can conduct job searches and communicate more quickly with the Career Center. Students and alumni can register at no charge with the Career Center, create type-set-quality resumes, view job listings, sign up for recruiting, receive and respond to employer inquiries, and check announcements.

Employers can post job listings, search for candidates, view resumes based on customized searches, post recruiting jobs, view pre-selected resumes, and interact with interview schedules. For more information go to www.career.msstate.edu.

Establishing this partnership with the Career Center and implementing CareerConnections will significantly increase the quality of career assistance offered by the Career Center and the Alumni Association. To access the site, go to www.career.msstate.edu.
