"The Patrons program now gives more donors an opportunity to participate in the program, in addition to recognizing the many generous donors who consistently make annual gifts to the university," said Stogsdill.
The Patrons program has been restructured to include donors who make annual gifts of $1,000 to the university. Gifts may be designated or unrestricted and pledges can be paid within one calendar year or as outright gifts.
The gift club was launched in 1962 to provide special recognition to individuals, businesses, and groups pledging $10,000 to the university -- $1,000 a year over a 10-year period. Since 1993, the Patrons of Excellence program has emphasized annual gifts of $1,000 or more.
