University announces newest donor club
The Torchbearers major gifts club has been established in recognition of the "Keep the Flame Burning" theme of Mississippi State's first-ever major gifts campaign, The Campaign for Mississippi State: To Serve Mississippi . . . and Beyond. The torch is a major component of the university's seal.
The new club, recognizing donors who contribute between $50,000 and $99,999 to the university, was approved by the Mississippi State University Foundation board of directors at its October meeting.
Donors may qualify for Torchbearers membership in one of several ways:
- An outright gift of $50,000 or greater in cash or securities or a pledge to give $50,000 or greater in cash or securities over five years.
- A gift of real property or a gift-in-kind (equipment, materials, supplies, etc.) valued at $50,000 or greater, which is accepted and can be used by the university or a department or college.
- Certain irrevocable trusts. Trusts are considered on an individual basis.
