

A Mississippi State educator has been named one of the top advisers in the country by a national accounting fraternity.
Dr. Clyde Herring was presented with the Outstanding Faculty Adviser award by the National Council of Beta Alpha Psi. He is one of six faculty members honored nationwide by the organization.
Herring is an associate professor in the School of Accountancy, and is beginning his sixth year as faculty adviser to Beta Alpha Psi.
The local chapter of Beta Alpha Psi recently received a superior rating for the seventh straight year at the national meeting.
