At the Annual Alumni Association Awards Banquet in January, two Mississippi State alumnae were awarded the J.E. "Red" Ruffin Award in recognition of their exemplary efforts in organizing and directing annual giving campaigns through their local chapters of the Alumni Association.
Recipients of the award were:
Robin Browning, for her role in helping the Central Mississippi Chapter exceed its 1995 membership by 30 percent and for her leadership during the Spring 1995 phonathon when the chapter produced a 203 percent increase in number of pledges and a 342 percent increase in dollars pledged over 1994.
Jennifer Wicker, for helping the Forrest-Lamar-Perry Chapter produce a 29 percent increase in membership for 1995 and for her creativity and determination in producing a chapter newsletter and a chapter membership renewal reminder card.
