

Four former athletes joined the Mississippi State University Sports Hall of Fame during ceremonies prior to the Mississippi State vs. South Carolina football game last October. The 1995 inductees were, left to right: Doug Hutton of Clinton, who earned seven letters in basketball, baseball, and track during his four years as a Bulldog in the early '60s; Robert B. "Tut" Patterson of Itta Bena, a defensive and offensive end for the Mississippi State football team from 1939-42; Ode Burrell of Gautier, the leading rusher, punter, and punt and kickoff returner during his football days at Mississippi State during 1962-63; and Elmo Branch of Duck Hill, a six-time letterman as a participant in Mississippi State track and basketball.
