

McClendon receives teaching excellence award
Ronald W. McClendon (B.S. '68, M.S. '71, Ph.D. '74), center, professor of biological and agricultural engineering at the University of Georgia, received the 1996 D.W. Brooks Faculty Award of Excellence for Teaching, presented by D.W. Brooks, left, founder and chairman of the board of Gold Kist Inc., and University of Georgia president Charles Knapp. McClendon was honored for his "solid commitment to teaching and guidance and for his inventive approach to traditional engineering courses."
