Mississippi State's 2000 season-opening contest with traditional non-conference rival Memphis on Sept. 2 will be televised by FOX Sports Net, with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. CT at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis.

This game brings MSU's television appearance total to three so far in 2000, joining the Bulldogs' two earlier announced games at Brigham Young (Sept. 14) and Mississippi (Nov. 23). Both of those contests, slated for 7 p.m. CT, are Thursday night games to be televised by national cable network ESPN.
