Brantley's jersey retired
Mississippi State baseball coach Ron Polk presents to former Diamond Dog All-American pitcher Jeff Brantley a replica of Brantley's retired jersey. Brantley, his wife Cindy, and their children Emily and Murphy visited campus to receive the jersey prior to a Mississippi State basketball game. During his career at Mississippi State from 1982 to 1985, Brantley set school and conference pitching records. During his past two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds, he was rated as the top relief pitcher in the National League.
