Dr. Sharon Robinson Bewley (D.V.M. '85) of Terry has been named Young Veterinarian of the Year in Mississippi for 1996. The award was presented by the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association at a February banquet held at the College of Veterinary Medicine on campus. Dr. Bewley, an associate veterinarian at Jackson Animal Clinic, is secretary-treasurer and vice president of the Greater Jackson Veterinary Medical Association and immediate past president of that group. She also is secretary of the College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 1985. She often visits schools with her dog, Fussy, to show children how to care for their pets, and she encourages them to study so that they can fulfill their dreams.
