John Johnson, right, president of the Central Mississippi Chapter of the Alumni Association, is presented with a certificate of appreciation from John Correro, executive director of the Alumni Association, for the chapter's support of The Palaces of St. Petersburg. Correro made the presentation at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet earlier this year on behalf of the Russian exhibit, which was on display in Jackson from March to August of last year. Johnson and the Central Mississippi Chapter were recognized by organizers of the exhibit as a "supporting volunteer." Chapter members put in nearly 500 hours of community service work in support of the exhibit.
